We will continue to spend time getting to know each other and making meaningful connections as time goes on!

I can control myself, including my words and my actions.
This week, the Grade 1s and 2s started their exploration of “The 7 Habits of Happy Kids.” Through discussions, videos, games, stories, and independent work, the student focused on Habit #1: Be Proactive – You’re in Charge! The students will continue to explore the remaining habits over the next few weeks. We will be using the 7 Habits to help set the tone for our classroom rules and expectations.
Supporting Your Student at Home:
Please check the side for tasks you can do with your child at home to support their learning and growth.
Math:
Grade 1: Counting to 100
Grade 2: Counting within 1000
Spelling:
On Fridays, your child will bring home a weekly spelling list for you to practice with them at home. They will have a spelling test on the words the following Friday. Please practice these words with your child at home to support their development of reading and writing skills. I have attached a photo of the lists below, in case you'd like to start practicing over the weekend. They will bring their first list home on Monday!
